Postdoc fluid dynamics

The research group of On Shun Pak in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Santa Clara University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in fluid dynamics and its cross-disciplinary applications. Current research interests include microswimmers, phoretic transport phenomena (e.g., diffusiophoresis and thermophoresis), electrohydrodynamics, complex fluids, interfacial flows, and machine-learning approaches for fluid dynamics. Research projects may involve theoretical analysis, numerical simulations, and machine learning, depending on the candidate’s background and interests. Experience with computational modeling and simulation tools, such as COMSOL Multiphysics, is desirable but not required.
