Details
Project Description
Involution-preserving numerical methods reproduce certain properties of exact solutions of partial differential equations
(PDEs) on grids with finite discretization length, which results in accurate solutions without the need to excessively
refine the grid. The successful candidate will familiarize him/herself with several different high-order compact numerical
methods for conservation laws and modify them to achieve involution preservation. The candidate will implement and
test them in order to assess their performance in relevant applications.
