PhD position in Economics

What you have to offer MSc or diploma in applied mathematics, operations research, computer science, statistics or similar, with a strong mathematical background that qualifies you for enrollment in a doctoral program at WU. Very good background in optimization (combinatorial, conic and convex optimization), very good programming skills, familiarity with stochastics (probability and statistics). Very good level of English as well as good pedagogical and presentation skills. You are willing to use multimedia teaching and learning formats. German language skills are not a prerequisite, but we expect the willingness to familiarize yourself with German over time. Some prior background in economics or finance is an advantage.
