We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma to join a funded research project at the intersection of optimization, machine learning, and healthcare analytics. This position provides an exciting opportunity to address real-world healthcare challenges by developing and applying advanced data-driven methods to enhance decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
1. Recent or soon-to-be-completed MS degree (within the last 0–2 years) in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Mathematics.
2. Strong background in optimization methods (e.g., nonlinear and discrete optimization).
3. Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming environments.
4. Experience with machine learning (preferred but not required).
5. Passion for interdisciplinary research bridging data science, optimization, and healthcare applications.
6. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
